# Level 6. Advanced Analytics

The sixth level is the final one: about honesty in conclusions. Correlation and cause, A/B tests, how much to trust a number, a forecast as a corridor, choosing a tool, telling a story with data, and a first project from start to finish. Seven lessons — and you run the full cycle: from a question to a decision you can defend.

Every lesson is a template with demo data: ten minutes to complete, one skill that stays. Open it in the Templates section of Analytics Agent and press “Use this template” to take the lesson on your own data.

### Connection Is Not Cause

**Shows:** two lines moving together are a hint, not a verdict: ice cream sales and drownings run at plus 0.95 because summer drives both; splitting the window kills the false link; a three-question checklist: a third variable? a mechanism? an experiment?

**You get:** you stop “managing” on coincidences and check what actually stands behind a link.

### A/B Test: Checking a Guess Honestly

**Shows:** random assignment makes the groups comparable; the result is a range, not a verdict: “plus 5.7 points, plus-minus 3”; no peeking early — an early test lies confidently, and the truth arrives by day fifteen; too few visitors means “there is no answer”.

**You get:** you change buttons, prices, and texts based on an honest test, not on morning luck.

### How Much to Trust a Number

**Shows:** the full number is “4.2% plus-minus 0.9”; the zigzag inside the band is noise, only parting bands are news; fewer observations — a wider band; four times more data buys only twice the confidence.

**You get:** you stop jumping at random swings and see real shifts — in sales, ads, on the site.

### A Forecast Is a Corridor, Not a Promise

**Shows:** an honest simple forecast = trend + season, plus-minus the width of its own past misses; plan by the edges of the corridor, not the middle; the naive “same month last year” runs first, before you trust a fancier method.

**You get:** stock, staff, and cash are planned by an honest range with measured accuracy, not by one “exact” number.

### From Spreadsheet to Panel: Choosing a Tool

**Shows:** a ladder of four steps — a spreadsheet, a light panel built in one evening, a company platform, open source on your own servers; five questions in order pick the step; before agreeing, you pilot one real report.

**You get:** you set up exactly the tool your size needs — without overpaying for the extra.

### Telling the Story with Data

**Shows:** five acts: question, context, proof, conclusion, action; headings are the lesson: a full sentence with a conclusion, not a label; one screen — one thought; the form fits the audience; the heading is written first.

**You get:** your reports start to convince: the manager gets a verdict, the analyst gets the backup, and the decision comes faster.

### Your First Report from Start to Finish

**Shows:** the whole course on one page: ask → collect → clean → break down → show → say; 86 rows are enough for the full cycle with a check log; every earlier lesson is a station on this line; three ready topics for your own first report.

**You get:** you run the full cycle with your own hands on your own topic — from one question to three verifiable recommendations and one action.
