# Forecasting

This section is about what happens next: how much you will sell next quarter, when the money runs out, whether your subscriptions are fine, whether a downturn is coming, and how the news affects your asset. Every forecast here comes as a range, never a single number.

Every template is a live walkthrough on demo data: open it in the Templates section of Analytics Agent and press “Use this template” to run it on your own data.

### Revenue Scenarios

**Shows:** next quarter’s revenue as a range — with an honest comparison of models, where the simple “same month last year” often beats the smart ones, and three scenarios with measured steps for churn and price.

**You get:** purchasing and staffing planned against a range instead of a made-up exact figure; and if the simple benchmark loses to nothing, the template says so outright.

### Cash Gap

**Shows:** the daily cash balance under four payment scenarios from a major client, with a danger line on the chart and the cost of the credit line or advance that closes each gap.

**You get:** one client with 40% of revenue paying a month late eats two payrolls and the VAT deadline — here you see that scenario in advance, while there is still time to negotiate or open a credit line.

### Subscription Health

**Shows:** a month-by-month breakdown of recurring revenue changes — how much new customers brought in, how much existing ones added or cut back, how much was lost to churn; retention by customer group, lifetime, and customer value set against the cost of acquiring that customer.

**You get:** you can see whether you are growing or just acquiring heavily while losing even more — and whether customer value is enough to pay back acquisition.

### Yield Curve Signal (What Is the Bond Market Saying About a Recession?)

**Shows:** half a century of the spread between long and short US government bond yields; every episode where it went negative is checked against the history of recessions — confirmed, false alarm, or the window still open; plus today’s reading.

**You get:** the most quoted sign of a coming downturn turns from the catchphrase “8 out of 8” into an honest “6 out of 8, and two of those alarms were false” — with the dates named.

### News Sentiment (What Does the News Flow Feel — and Did Tone Move Before Price?)

**Shows:** every headline scored two ways — by a transparent dictionary you can edit, and by a trained model with self-checks; weekly tone for each asset set against price, plus episodes where tone turned before price did.

**You get:** “how does the news feel about my asset” stops being a gut call — and you can see that the news flow is weather, not a forecast.
