# Publishing

The Publishing section is about writing and sending posts: an editor with Telegram-style formatting, media and albums, preview and publishing right now. The editor opens from the queue, the timeline or the channel card.

## The post editor

Text is formatted the same way as in Telegram: bold, italic, underline, strikethrough, spoiler, code, quotes and links — with a live preview next to it. The draft saves itself a couple of seconds after an edit: no need to remember a button. The length limit is 4096 characters, or 1024 with media attached; the counter turns red as you approach the boundary (Telegram still gets the last word anyway).

## Media

- photos — up to 10 MB;
- videos, documents, audio and other files — up to 50 MB;
- adding — by picking a file, dragging and dropping, or pasting an image;
- removing — with a confirmation; a stray file will not slip into the publication.

## Albums and captions

Two or more files in one post are published as an album — up to ten images or videos, as Telegram allows. Each file can carry its own caption, and each caption has its own character counter.

## YouTube links

A YouTube link can be added as a separate attachment: the address is verified on the server and normalized, and in the editor the link shows as a card with a thumbnail and the title. An address that is not a YouTube link is rejected. On publishing, the link goes out as a separate message so that Telegram shows the built-in video preview.

## Previewing to yourself

Before publishing, a post can be sent to yourself — into a chosen channel connected through a personal account, labeled “Preview — {channel}”. This shows how the post will look to subscribers: text, single media, an album or link cards. The channel choice is remembered, so the next preview is one click away.

## Publishing

- **Publish now** — the post goes straight to its channel, and optionally to additional channels too (cross-posting); each channel is handled independently;
- **Silent delivery** — without push notifications for subscribers;
- **Content protection** — forbid copying and forwarding (for channels connected through a bot);
- **Auto-pin** — pin the last published message;
- **The “ad” mark** — when the post is an advertisement.

## What happens after publishing

A post record is created for each channel: the text, the publish time, the views (zero at first). The queue marks the item published, the channel gets a real-time update, and the post appears in the channel’s content and in the timeline.

## When something goes wrong

If delivery to one of the channels fails, the rest still get the post — one channel’s failure does not stop the others. If delivery failed everywhere, the draft stays in the queue in its place and nothing is lost — you can retry.
