# Xedant Data Agent — Product Launch

Today **[Xedant Data Agent](/agents/data)** launches — data collection without programming. You say in chat what data you need (“collect competitor prices once a day”, “pull our order statistics”), and the agent writes and maintains the scripts, runs them on demand or on a schedule, and puts the result into a tidy Lakehouse: raw files, a database for visualization, a description and logs for every source.

Why it matters: without data any AI agent answers “from feelings”. Data Agent gives you and your agents the real picture — regularly refreshed figures from your systems, websites and databases, instead of one-off exports that someone forgot to update.
