Styling overrides change how data looks — without touching the query. 13 types: colors, formats, labels, links, hiding and chart styles.
Colors
- BlockColorOverride — the block border color;
- NumberColorOverride — number color by thresholds: dropped below zero — red;
- StringColorOverride — string color by value match.
Formats
- NumberFormatOverride — number format: abbreviations, prefixes and suffixes (“1.2M” instead of a long number);
- DateFormatOverride — date and time format.
Labels
- NameOverride — renaming table columns and chart series: “Users” instead of
usr_cnt; - StringReplaceOverride — find/replace in values.
Links
- LinkOverride — clickable table cells: the link is assembled from the value and leads to another report with the right filter;
- BlockLinkOverride — a link for the whole block.
Hiding
HideOverride — hide table columns and chart series: service fields stay out of the screen while remaining in the query.
Chart styles
- LineStyleOverride — line styles;
- BarStyleOverride — bar styles;
- PointStyleOverride — point styles.
Examples
- a “−3%” metric lights up red when it drops below zero;
- “1.2M” instead of 1,234,567 — abbreviations and suffixes;
- a “Region” table cell is a link to the report for that region.
